What is Self-Regulating (PTC) Heating Cable?

Self-Regulating heating cable does not use Nickel-Chrome line as a heating element like normal heating products, but it generates heat using plastic semi-conductor. And it has PTC(Positive Temperature Coefficient) characteristic.

PTC characteristic was discovered by American doctor Herman in 1950’s. It is the natural phenomenon, even though the ambient temperature is increased, the calorific power is decreased by certain proportion mechanically.

Self-regulating heating cable applied this PTC technique. So, it generates more heat when the weather is cold, and less heat when is hot. Therefore, it is not only safe and but also consumes less electricity (energy saving effect).
